Christmas For Chemo Patients
Always Bring Joy. You Never Know Who it Can Impact.
About Our Organization
Christmas For Chemo Patients started as a realization that I had when I would join my mom, Cheri, for her chemotherapy treatments. I realized many patients were receiving chemotherapy alone, even during Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The organization was created by myself, Alexander, and my wife, Bree, with the goal of giving back to those going through chemotherapy during the holidays to bringing joy to their day.
In December 2019, our first campaign was launched and raised close to $2,000 in just two weeks. We were able to put together 30 Christmas cards with gift cards attached. These were handed out by the oncology nurses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It brought us a whirlwind of emotions to see the amazement of patients opening their cards as we sat with my mom during her chemotherapy treatment.
Cheri Bailey passed on December 1st, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. In 2020, we raised almost $8,000 thanks to all of our family and friends on social media. This allowed us to give 70 Christmas cards filled with $100 bills to each patient. We have had such a positive response that at the beginning of 2021, we took the steps to make Christmas For Chemo Patients an official 501(c)(3)!
Our goal is to bring joy to someone's day and bring a smile to their face. We are excited to watch this organization blossom so we can give back to more patients each year. If you'd like to help us make an impact, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to see the impact we can make this year and a HUGE shoutout to all of our current and future supporters.
